Oxfordshire National Citizen Service are currently taking applications for their autumn programme. The programme is open to all young people from Oxfordshire aged 16-17 who have not already completed an NCS programme. If you're looking for something great to do alongside your college course, or need some excitement this autumn, sign up for the autumn programme today!
What will the programme include?
The programme consists of three phases, which starts with a week long residential and ends with a celebration event on November 30th.
- Phase 1: You’ll stay with your team at an outdoor activity centre where you'll take part in some activities such as abseiling, caving and rock climbing.
- Phase 2: You will take part in a range of skills workshops and team building activities to prepare yourself for phase 3.
- Phase 3: You and your team will identify a cause or charity you are passionate about, and invent a campaign or fundraising project to aid them. You will need to complete a total of 30 hours social action, which will be supervised by your team leader and take place after sixth form/college/work and at the weekends, depending on what is convenient for you and your team.
But what if I've done NCS already?
If you have already completed NCS then you cannot take part in it again. But there are chances to get involved in the graduate programme.
