Get writing in our fantastic eBook short story competition!

What's your story?

Our eBook Short Story competition is back again as we look to support and widen the audience for local writing talent.

The winning stories will be published as eBooks for library members to borrow from our website and the two winners will each win a fantastic Android tablet.

There are two competition categories:

short story by an adult aged 18+ short story by a young adult aged 11-17.

Your story should be a work of original fiction which is unique to this competition and never before been seen or published. The subject of your story is entirely your choice. It should have a title and be between 500 and 3,000 words including the title.

Visit Oxfordshire Libraries for all the information on how to enter.

Entries are due in by 5pm on 4 January 2017

What happens next?

The winners will be chosen by a panel of librarians and announced on our library website and social media on 6 March 2017. The winning short stories will be published on the Oxfordshire Libraries eBook platform on the same day via www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ebooks

The winning short stories will be available for Oxfordshire Library Service members to borrow for a year and we will let you know how many people read it.
