The Oxfordshire NCS Autumn Programme

The programme starts in Autumn half term and then continues at flexible times to fit around your school, college, work or learning commitments through November, finishing with a massive graduation ceremony where you can celebrate your achievements with friends and family.

  • Phase 1: You’ll stay with your team at an outdoor activity centre in an idyllic location out of the county. You will take part in activities such as abseiling, caving, rock climbing, surfing and canoeing. All equipment for activities will be provided, as well as food and accommodation.  We’ll take you and your team to the residential centre from a coach pick up point in the local Oxfordshire area.
  • Phase 2: You will make your own way each day (10:00am-4.00pm) to our stunning Hill End Centre (Eynsham Road, Oxford, OX2 9NJ) to take part in a fantastic range of skills workshops and team building activities, designed to make you stand out to potential employers, and prepare yourself for phase 3.
  • Phase 3: You and your team will identify a cause or charity you are passionate about, and invent a campaign or fundraising project to aid them. This is a chance to show your initiative, teamwork and leadership skills and come up with an original and ambitious project. You will need to complete a total of 30 hours social action, which will be supervised by your team leader and take place after sixth form/college/work and at the weekends, depending on what is convenient for you and your team.

To find out more, please email as soon as possible or sign up online to start the application process. When you have completed your application you will be phoned by the team who will take a payment of £35 to secure your place. This is all you will have to pay for the entire four week programme.
