A play exploring the issues of self-harm has raised awareness for over 5000 young people in Oxfordshire.

Pegasus Theatre brought their play Under My Skin to 28 schools around Oxfordshire, and reached 5049 students in Years 8 and 9

The play gave young people information about coping with feelings around self-harm, stress, and the relevant services that can support them. It reduced the stigma of discussing self-harm and accessing support and highlighted the importance in speaking to the School Health Nurse.

  • 50% of the young people said the play increased their knowledge of self-harm a lot
  • 71% of young people knew how to access support after seeing the play
