Want to develop new skills, improve career prospects and have fun doing it?

Oxfordshire Youth have designed a bespoke Leadership Programme for young people, the first one of its kind to cater for 14-21 year olds.

The next programme is running from February 5th-7th 2016. The cost to participate is £400.

The programme is a Level 2 Award in Leadership and Team Skills, and is accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management. The programme is nationally recognised, meaning that employers, colleges and universities will hold it in high regard. It’s also equivalent to an A*-C at GCSE.

The programme takes place over a weekend at the Caldecotte Centre near Milton Keynes. Young people take part in activities such as Raft Building and Rock Climbing while undertaking Leadership Workshops, and completing a Log Book of their work. This Log Book provides evidence for the qualification. After the weekend away, we ask young people to go back to their communities and run an activity or take responsibility for something new, which they then get feedback on. Once this is complete, we review their Log Books and apply for their qualification.
