Main duties and responsibilities

The candidate will gain hands on practical experience working alongside qualified and skilled engineers. He/she will learn all aspects of design, install, commissioning and maintenance of Building and Energy Management systems (BEMS). The candidate will learn to control the Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning equipment of a building helping customers save energy and run plantroom equipment efficiently leading to savings. Daily tasks will involve gaining an understanding of systems ranging from identifying technical issues and implementing effective troubleshooting at client sites.

Qualifications: 

Minimum Grade 5 or predicted grades to include Maths, English, Science, ICT.

Key requirements

UK Driving licence , Ability to work towards achieving a Level 3 Diploma, Level 3 Technical certificate

The Building controls industry is a burgeoning landscape with businesses and local authorities spending millions on their energy spend and are constantly looking for ways to run buildings efficiently and achieve energy savings. The Building and Energy Management Systems provide means (hardware and software) to control the buildings Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) and provide energy efficiency and savings for its clients ranging from Universities, Health Trusts, Local  Authorities and private businesses.
