Description: 

Opportunity at Oxford’s oldest College working with the kitchen brigade to produce high quality food for students, fellows, staff and College guests in a full range of dining styles from refectory to fine dining Working in a close knit team to follow high standards of food production, food hygiene & safety

Qualifications: 

Maths and English GCSE or equivalent

Training: 

Hospitality and Catering - Commis chef Level 2
Functional Skills in maths and English if required

The apprentice will attend college on a one day a week delivery pattern, based on 36 Days delivery during an academic year. Each session will be 7 hours instruction/practice and cover the Knowledge, Skills and behaviours as required by the apprenticeship standard. Additional sessions may be run over college closure periods to ensure the apprentice is meeting the course requirements and progressing as expected

Working hours: 
Shifts are organised over a rota system. Kitchen is open 7 days per week. You will be rota’d to work 5 shifts per wk based on early (7am–3pm) or Late shift- 8 hour shift between (12pm–9pm) and alternate weekends. Total hours per week: 40.00
