National Citizen Service

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that helps you build skills for work and life, take on new challenges, meet new friends and have fun!

National Citizen Service is an awesome, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity available to all young people in Year 11 and 12. This innovative scheme builds skills and confidence, and helps you grow, change and connect with new people and your local community. From the first session all the way through to graduation, you will have the summer of a lifetime, meet lots of new people and have loads of fun - and don't forget that NCS runs in the autumn, as well - alongside your school, college or apprenticeship!

Hello. I was accepted to NCS half term. But i had an urgent issue that I couldn't go to the confirmation day. I am panict. I sent lots of emails and called. Haven't got a reply yet. Don't want to loose my place

Hello, if you have sent through emails and left messages with the Oxfordshire NCS staff then they should have received that. Hopefully you will hear back soon. If you would like me to chase up for you please let me know your full name, a good phone number to contact you on and which team you were expecting to attend -- the comment will be screened so no-one else will see this information.

I am a little confused about signing up. I have already signed up on the main NCS website but my friend said that it would be better to sign up here. I have not yet made the payment on the NCS website. Should I register here or continue using the main website? Thank you.

Hi Kits - when you register with the main NCS website (and everyone who does NCS needs to, so it's great you've done that already!) your details are recorded and they will be passed back to the local NCS team. Registering here as well - which as your friend says is a good idea - sends through your details straight through to the local NCS organisers in Oxfordshire (Ryan and his team) so that they can contact you and check you're fully registered, and start thinking which team you would fit into best. So both is best!

Rachel just called me about my son Tom Webber but I couldn't take her call. I said I'd call back in a few moments but got through to the council answer service as the offices were closed at 5.20pm. Can she, or one of the team call me back please.

Hi Helen, I'm sorry you couldn't get through last night. I have let Rachel know that you tried to contact her, and she will contact you back.

I have signed up for the summer session of NCS. However, it has been a while since I sent my cheque (which I am unsure whether you have received) and my friend has already received the dates for the summer. I am worried whether I have received a place. Thank you very much

Good Afternoon,
I work for a charitable organization in Oxford city center. I know from previous years participants have chosen to raise awareness and income for us as part of their NCS course and I was wondering if there was any way that I could be of help and whether the students would be interested in supporting us?
I was wondering if there is a phone number or alternative way for me to get in touch with a representative of NCS in Oxford?
Kind Regards,
