The Cakes on display today at the County Hall look amazing, but there is no eating yet because it’s the great apprentice bake off!
Oxfordshire Apprenticeships have put on a bake off style cake competition at County Hall on the 14th of March to celebrate national apprenticeship week.
The cakes will be judged and assessed on looks and taste carefully. Once a winner is crowned the contestants get to eat their entries. Alongside the competition there is a charity cake sale in which all proceeds go to Yellow Submarine, the great charity that helps young people in Oxford with learning disabilities and autism get active and live life to the maximum by taking them on residential and day trips across the country.
The Royal Logistics Corps has come to County Hall to give information about apprenticeships in the Army. I spoke to Mel who instead of going to a garage to do a traditional apprenticeship, decided to do her apprenticeship with the Royal Logistics Corps in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Also here at the Bake off was 3aaa displaying all of the apprenticeships they offer. These include and specialise in Technology, Web and Social media, Digital Marketing, Accountancy, Financial Services and Business administration.
