'Help Us, Help You - Get It Seen To' is a new campaign from the NHS and is encouraging the public to use their local pharmacy for minor health worries.

In winter we see a lot of people getting unwell, did you know that you can use your local pharmacy for minor health concerns?

How do I know how unwell I am?

Sometimes it can be difficult to tell how unwell you really are and where the best place to access advice is. Local pharmacists can offer advice on lots of small health matters that don't require an appointment with your GP. These concerns could be:

  • Coughs
  • Colds
  • Sore throats
  • Tummy troubles
  • Aches and pains.

If contraception goes wrong or fails

Your local pharmacies can also offer advice on sexual health related matters and provide some forms of contraception, including condoms. If you have had unprotected sex or contraception has failed your local pharmacy can also offer Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC).
