Childnet are running their annual competition for young people aged 7-18 to create a film about internet safety.

Open to all UK schools and youth organisations, Childnet's annual competition invites all young people aged 7-18 to take on the challenge of creating a short film about internet safety. All films must showcase positive and inspiring use of the internet and clearly reflect their chosen theme.

What is this years theme?

  • The overall theme is celebrating the internet.
  • Primary theme is: The internet belongs to me and this is how it’s going to be.
  • Secondary theme is: What’s your vision for a better internet?

Will the winner receive a prize?

Yes! You can win great prizes for your school/ youth group, including:

  • DSLR Camera.
  • Microphone.
  • Clapperboard.
  • The shortlisted films will be shown at a private screening at the BFI.

When is the deadline?

The deadline for the competition is on Monday 10th June 2019, and the shortlisted films will be notified on Wednesday 19th June 2019.
