You can't visit the library at the moment, but services are still available online - and you can take part in this new art and poetry competition for children and young people in Oxfordshire.

Oxfordshire Libraries are currently running a new poetry and art competition for children and young people in Oxfordshire, where the winner will see their entries published as an eBook poetry collection published which can be borrowed and read across Oxfordshire!

With the Coronavirus limiting the amount of time that you're able to leave your home, it's the perfect time to express your creativity through poetry and art. 

Library Services still available

While many of us are social distancing at home it is the perfect time to connect with Oxford Libraries Digital Services. Read books, get homework help, stream music and read magazines, all from the comfort of your own device. Here are some of our favourite online resources from Oxfordshire Libraries:

  • The John Johnson Collection collects zines, ephemera and printed materials of all kinds. It's part of Oxford's famous Bodleian Library. Use your library card number to get access.
  • Wired, Empire, Total Film and The Complete Guide to Pokemon Go are among the magazines you can read online with your library card number.
  • Audio books - including loads that support your mental wellbeing are available via Overdrive and Libby - lots of ebooks also available
