All young people aged 16-18 should be in learning this September, if you're out of learning - it's time to take action

Young people aged 16-18 should be in learning or training, including apprenticeships this September. But if plans have changed, or if problems are getting in the way of learning, there are things you can do. 

Our EET Hub is an online space where you can explore your options and get support with finding a place in learning this autumn. 

Take Action: If you are aged 16-17 and not in learning, register your details to request support from the Education, Employment, and Training (EET) Team.

Get an apprenticeships

From age 16+ you can get an apprenticeship

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to earn while you learn, develop new skills, and gain qualifications.

You can find apprenticeships listed here on oxme, the National Apprenticeship Finder, and by talking to the apprenticeships team at your local FE college

Training providers

If going to college or doing an apprenticeship doesn't seem right for you, local training providers can help.

There are lots of training providers in Oxfordshire who offer alternative training programmes and can support you to overcome problems. These include: Ignite SportEMBS, and ACE Training.

ACE Training also provide Pre-Apprenticeships which give you the chance to get ready for your apprenticeship in a supportive environment.
