What is gambling?
Gambling is when somebody takes part in a game or an activity in which they risk money, with the aim of winning.
Examples of gambling include gaming, betting, and lotteries.
The legal age of gambling in the UK is 18.

Gambling addictions
For some people who gamble, there can be problems with control and stopping. Some people describe this as an addiction.
It can be hard to know if your gambling habits have become unhealthy. But if you notice any of these warning signs, there might be a problem:

- Asking for/borrowing money from family or friends
- Feeling anxious, depressed, or worried about gambling
