Childcare for your child helps you have a break. It is also a crucial part of going back to learning or training. 

Types of childcare

Types of childcare includes crèches, nurseries, and childminders. 

Some 2 year olds are eligible for 15 hours free early education funding. Find out if your family qualifies.

Care to Learn

Care to Learn helps young parents finish their education.

If you are under 20 at the start of your course, you will be eligible for Care to Learn.

You can get up to £160 per child per week to help with the cost of:

  • your childcare, including deposit and registration fees
  • a childcare taster session for up to 5 days
  • keeping your childcare place over the summer holidays
  • transport for taking your child to their childcare provider
