It can be challenging to stay motivated and focused, especially when things appear uncertain.
There can be more ways to get motivated into studying.
But everybody struggles with motivation sometimes.
When you are demotivated then it’s easy to watch videos or scroll through social media. You can forget that you have exams coming up, or avoid the thought.
Then it becomes harder to work. The longer you put things off the more stressed you can get.
Here are some tips to help you:
A video which will tell you more about how to stay motivated:
There are lots of ways to learn, so it can be helpful to find the way that works best for you.
It's important to understand your learning style in order to see the study strategy that will work best for you.
Learning styles gives you an idea of how you can learn best. This is top 3 ways that could be helpful while learning:
Visual- learn by seeing
Auditory- learn by listening
Kinesthetic- learn by doing
This video shows all of those three ways and how you can find which one is suitable for you.
Learning disabilities are challenging.
However, young people with learning difficulties can succeed. Things that help can include clear instructions and coping mechanisms to help you get over your difficulties.
Here are some useful tips that could help you study/revise better:
- Make flashcards about stuff you struggle with
- Find an interesting audiobook or podcast about the topic you’re studying
- Studying alone can help you concentrate
A video that describes what Learning Difficulties are :
- create a timetable and order your subjects from most important to least important.
- Revising early would definitely be recommended, if you start revising the days before an exam you wont remember much.
- If you put your self under a lot of pressure you will burn out and wont remember stuff when doing a test.
- Keep your phone and other distractions away otherwise you will end up not doing anything.
- Highlight, underline
My experience:
“Music has always been the only thing that has ever helped me focus. I sometimes have problems focussing. But I don’t know why. It might be because I struggle to learn things or because I get distracted easily. When I am doing homework, I use headphones and play music, It has to be instrumental or chill otherwise I sing along and cant concentrate.”- Nia
