You are invited to take part in this year's short story competition!

The winners from each age category will see their story published as an eBook and eAudiobook, available from Oxfordshire Libraries in 2026.

Age categories

This year there are three age categories:

  • Children aged 7-11
  • Young adults aged 12-17
  • Adults aged 18+ 

Children's stories can be up to 1000 words, and stories by young people and adults can be up to 3000 words

How to enter

The competition is free to enter and entries can be submitted online by completing this short online form before Sunday 9th November.
