This is a voluntary, two-year role running from June 2026 to May 2028.

About the committee
The Education and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee, which take place five times a year, looks closely at services affecting children and young people including education, support for young carers and care leavers, and public health issues.
As a co-optee, you will need to:
- Prepare for meetings in advance
- Speak up and share your opinions
- Take part in the relevant checks and training
