Earlier this week we were excited to welcome three work experience students into the team. They spent the day working with us and collaborating together to create a new hub for the website, focused around decision making for young people in Oxfordshire.
About the new hub
We asked our students to create a new section on oxme focused on decision making and having your say in Oxfordshire. The result? Check the new hub out for yourself!
Working together and individually they created a hub filled with information and guidance on decision making in your local community. Topics included:
- Political engagement
- Why we should look at the news
- Knowing your rights
Take action: Check our their work and explore the new hub.
Hear from the students
After their hard work throughout the day, we asked our students to each tell us something they enjoyed and had learnt from their time with us. Here's what they had to say:
- "I was able to engage with other people and collaborating to create a web page for Oxme and creating this was engaging as it was a topic that involves people in our age range."
- "I enjoyed the process of planning and then making the hub on my specific area.”
- "I have really enjoyed the freedom that we had to create our own part of the website and think what people of our generation will need or use. “
