Join the Microbiology Department, Oxford University Hospitals NHSFT for a 4-year fully funded BSc in Biomedical Science and become a registered Biomedical Scientist, all while earning a salary.

Qualifications

A Levels: BBC-ABB including 2 science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths)
International Baccalaureate: 27 points to include a minimum of 4 in two higher level science subjects
BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM-DDM in Applied Science
BTEC Diploma: D*D*
Access: 112-128 UCAS points

Training

As an apprentice, you will dive into the exciting world of microbiology, gaining experience in: Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, Serology and Molecular microbiology. You will rotate through all sections within the department, working with both manual and innovative and cutting-edge automated systems. Learning how to interpret results and generate reports that directly support patient diagnosis and care.
