Halloween and Bonfire Safety

Information and tips to help you stay safe and enjoy celebrations this autumn
News

As the evenings get darker, there are lots of fun events and celebrations to take part in. But dark nights and bad weather can cause problems. Thinking ahead and being prepared can help you enjoy autumn safely.

Halloween Safety

Halloween celebrations can be a fun way to hang out with friends and get involved in the festivities. There are often local events taking place, so it’s worth checking what’s on near you and asking at your local youth or activity club.

If you have plans to be out and about celebrating Halloween with friends, it is helpful to think about how you can stay safe.

Simple things can help, including:

  1. Making sure your phone is charged
  2. Having a plan for how you’re getting home
  3. Letting a trusted adult know your plans
  4. Staying with friends and looking out for each other
  5. Taking extra care around roads when you’re out after dark
