Saturday 10 October is World Mental Health Day, a chance to come together, talk, listen and raise awareness of better mental health.
This year's theme is “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change” and reminds us of the importance of listening to people’s experiences and making sure everyone feels heard, understood and supported.
Good to know: Talking about mental health is not always easy. The Mental Health Foundation has put together tips on talking about mental health and how to listen better.
Local support for young people
There's lots of mental wellbeing support available to help young people locally. But a good place to start is by talking to someone you trust, like a friend, parent, carer, or teacher at your place of learning.
