Description

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Orthotics Service at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with the chance to train as a qualified Prosthetist/Orthotist through a fully funded degree apprenticeship.

What’s involved:

  • Supporting patients to improve mobility and quality of life
  • Working in clinics, hospital wards and specialist services
  • Learning how to design and fit orthotic devices (e.g. braces and supports)
  • Studying towards a BSc (Hons) Prosthetics & Orthotics (University of Derby)

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrates experience of team working
  • Demonstrates good communication skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Knowledge of NHS and healthcare systems
  • Knowledge of the Orthotics Profession
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to study at Level 6
  • Demonstrated alignment to OUH values
