Summer is almost which means it's time to start thinking about how you would like to spend your break, what you'd like to do and explore what's on locally. 

Throughout the summer holiday there are lots of fun and local activities, events and holiday camps to get enjoy. From Playdays to sports camps to volunteering and relaxing with friends - there's something for everyone.

Play and Activity Days 

Over the summer, Oxfordshire Play Association (OPA) will be running lots of free playdays across the county, including their Summer Fest which takes place on 12th August. 

Playday locations include Abingdon, Chipping Norton, Banbury, Faringdon and Blackbird Leys.

Holiday Activity and Food Programme

Over the summer holidays, eligible children and young people from Reception to Year 11 can enjoy free activities, meet new people, and get a healthy meal each day.
Eligible children and young people can book up to 16 free places over the summer holiday.

Volunteer for the Summer Reading Challenge 

Oxfordshire Libraries are looking for young volunteers aged 13+ to help out with this year's Summer Reading Challenge.

As a volunteer you will help out during the summer holiday to sign up children for the challenge and give out rewards. You could also get involved in events, displays and other library activities. 

Good to know: You can also hear about what's happening locally by asking at your local library or leisure centre, checking local noticeboards, and following Activities Oxfordshire on Facebook.
