Stoptober is here! Every October, thousands of people across the country take part in the challenge to stop smoking. It's a great opportunity to make a positive change for your health and wellbeing.
Research shows that people who successfully stop smoking for 28 days are up to five times more likely to quit for good. That is why Stoptober focuses on helping people through those important first few weeks.
Smoking and vaping
The good news is that most young people do not smoke, and smoking rates among young people have fallen significantly over the last decade.
Vaping can help adult smokers (aged 18 and over) quit smoking and is one of the most effective stop smoking aids available. However, vaping is not risk-free and is not recommended for children and young people.
If you don't smoke, don't vape.
